Chef Jitender Singh joined the Olive group in June 2015 and is currently the Executive Chef for Olive Bistro, Gurgaon and the high-end catering division of the Olive group, The Moving Kitchen. At Olive Bistro, the chef serves food inspired by the cuisines of Turkey, nouvelle French and Greece. He likes researching and implementing new cooking techniques, apart from working on new ways of presenting food. He envisions preparing and serving food with the freshest local ingredients and modern concepts at Olive Bistro. Chef Jitender specialises in crafting varied menus around Mediterranean and modern European cuisines.

The chef brings 16 years of work experience to the table. His last assignment saw him as the Corporate Chef at Amour café in Hauz Khas Village and Amour Bistro, Malcha Marg, where he won critical acclaim from Vir Sanghvi for Bistro-style food. He has previously been associated with brands like Old World Hospitality in Delhi, 5 Senses in Chennai, Pebble Street in Delhi among many others.

A conceptual thinker, the chef believes in working as a team and uses the ‘Peripheral Leadership’ model in his kitchen. His regular attendance of wine evenings and appreciation sessions has honed his food and wine pairing skills. He also takes keen interest in bartending and mixology. Helming Olive Bistro’s kitchen, Chef Jitender aims to make Bistro-style dining more popular and frequent with Indian diners looking for a causal yet hearty meal, in a charming and rustic ambience.
